Winter Quarter Begins, Financial & Student Support Services Available
January 5, 2022
Winter Quarter 2022 at Lake Tahoe Community College is underway! Full-quarter classes
begin Wednesday, January 5, however students can register for these options throughout
the week. Students can even register for these classes next week, with faculty permission
and a submitted Late Registration Form (PDF). Many late-start, shorter classes that take less time for fewer units are also available
throughout the Winter quarter. To see all of the options, visit LTCC's Schedule of Classes.
A lot of information to help you apply and register can be found on LTCC's Winter 2022 webpage. Use this page to help you register for Spring quarter classes as well - registration
is open!
Financial Aid support is available to help make your college dreams an affordable reality. It's
free to apply for
LTCC CARES Grants of up to $750, and that's free money that never needs repaying. Apply at
www.ltcc.edu/caresgrant; the deadline for Winter is January 20, 2022. Undocumented and Dreamer students are
also encouraged to apply; there are grant funds available for these students. Financial
Aid staff is available in person, virtually through
the Cranium Cafe portal, via email (
financialaid@ltcc.edu) or by phone at (530) 541-4660 x636. In-person hours are M-Th 8am-6pm, and Fridays
8am-5pm.
LTCC's
Food Pantry and Basic Needs Center is open and ready to serve students who are in need. In addition to free food and
personal hygiene products, the Food Pantry can also connect you to help with additional
nutrition needs, transportation support/gas gift cards, housing assistance, technology
support, and many other basic needs. Visit the Center's webpage and
fill out and submit the intake form to be considered for these free services.
All registered LTCC students have access to free, 24/7 virtual telehealth support
via the TimelyCare app. Both mental health and medical support is available. Students can access free support
from anywhere by downloading the app (
Android and
Apple), or by logging into the
TimelyCare website (timelycare.com/LTCC). Students can either schedule a future appointment with the
practitioner of their choice, or they can connect with help in 5 minutes or less using
the TalkNow feature.
