LTCC Welcomes Visiting Artist Erin Whitman in June

The Art Department at Lake Tahoe Community College welcomes visiting artist Erin Whitman for two days of events that the entire community is welcome to attend. Whitman will present a lecture about her work and artistic inspirations on Thursday, June 8 at 6 p.m. in LTCC's Board Room, located inside the library building on campus. She is also hosting a hands-on demonstration of her work on Friday, June 9 from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. in Room F101, located in the Fine Arts building. These events, sponsored by the LTCC Foundation and the LTCC Art Club, are free and open to the public.

LTCC Student-Vet Receiving New Wheels from Recycled Rides

LTCC and Recycled Rides invites the community to a special event where the keys to a refurbished vehicle will be awarded to one deserving LTCC student-veteran on Friday, May 26 at 12 p.m. outdoors in the college's Main Building courtyard area. Free barbecue and refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to attend!

LTCC Hires New VP of Administrative Services

The Board of Trustees at Lake Tahoe Community College approved the hiring of Russi Egan as the college's new Vice President of Administrative Services at a special Board meeting Thursday evening. Egan will begin in her new role at LTCC on July 1. The permanent VP position had been vacant since January 2017 when then-Vice President of Administrative Services Jeff DeFranco was selected as LTCC's Superintendent/President.

Annual Student Art Exhibition

Annual Student Art Exhibition

The entire community is welcome to Lake Tahoe Community College's Annual Student Art Exhibition opening reception on Sunday, May 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the LTCC Commons, located in the Main Building on campus. An awards ceremony honoring the winners starts at 3:30 p.m. There will be approximately 400 works of student art on display, ranging from digital art to printmaking to sculpture. Live music and free refreshments will also be offered. All of the artwork displayed represents student production over the past year. Much of the work reflects LTCC Art Department curriculum, but the exhibit also includes works created independently by many talented LTCC students of all ages.
