This collaborative network of local agencies, organizations, and employers offers an array of low and no-cost services to adults in the Lake Tahoe Basin and Alpine County. Whatever you need to advance in your career and life, ADVANCE can assist you with. Includes career development support, apprenticeship programs, English language learning, skills training, high school credentialing, and much more.
LTCC's collegiate soccer programs prepare student-athletes for leadership and exceptionalism both on and off the field. The results speak for themselves: head coach Jeremy Evans is a four-time Golden Valley Conference Coach of the Year. The women's team has garnered back-to-back Final Four state appearances (2018 & 2019), along with four conference titles and multiple All-America player, scholar, and conference nods since the program started in 2014. The men's team has also won several conference titles, a state Final Four appearance, and multiple conference and All-America awards.
In Fall 2023, LTCC launches its Cross Country program for men and women. In Spring 2024, Long-Distance Track launches.
Grants, fee waivers, scholarships, on-campus work opportunities and much more are available to LTCC students! There's a financial aid program that can make college affordable for just about anyone!
Whether you graduated from South Tahoe High, George Whittell, or another local or regional high school, LTCC stands ready to welcome you to campus and get you oriented, comfortable, and prepared to succeed!
Affordable off-campus housing is available! Shared units for 30 students is centrally located on Aspen Avenue, close to shops, restaurants, and public transportation. LTCC has secured funding to build a 100-bed residential living option on campus for qualifying low-income, full-time students - check back for updates!
The world comes to Tahoe! The International Students program at LTCC works to ensure your time at LTCC is well spent. Our small and friendly campus welcomes dozens of students from around the globe each year.
One of the most comprehensive Promise programs in the entire country can be found at LTCC! Full-time students who are new to college may be eligible for free tuition for up to three years, plus free textbooks, $100/quarter credit in the bookstore, dedicated counseling, priority registration, incentives for two-year degree completion, and a lot more! Available to all California residents and Dreamers, plus Nevada residents and Dreamers living within the Tahoe Basin.
This program helps students to identify their interests and choose an educational pathway that gives them flexibility, but also encourages a focused approach and timely degree completion. Explore your passions, get on the right path, network with others who share your career and personal interests, then graduate! Learn more about Guided Pathways and how to identify your Meta Major so you can focus your efforts and reach your goals on your timeline.
LTCC's Schedule of Classes is published twice a year, with two quarters' worth of choices available to register in at any time! This helps with planning and making sure you're getting the classes you need.
Every Spring, LTCC's Foundation awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to all kinds of students from various backgrounds. Your academic success and commitment to serving community can translate into a lot of free money for college that never needs repaying!
Students who wish to transfer to another college or university to earn an advanced degree are well supported at LTCC! Take advantage of Degrees With a Guarantee that can get you a seat at a UC or CSU in the major of your choice.
Adult learners who've taken some classes and earned some college credits in their past but who have no degree, credential, or certificate can get the support they need to complete at LTCC. Find out what you've already earned, what classes you need to take to earn a certificate or degree, and how to do that affordably and efficiently. You may be closer to earning a degree than you think!
This beautiful, modern space and its staff is focused on providing LTCC students with quality resources, tutoring, and support for all academic classes and departments. Thousands of carefully curated books, online resources, plus comfortable and quiet study spaces and group-work rooms are available! Also home to the Math and Writing centers, where free tutoring is offered.
