Lake Tahoe Community College firmly believes that education should be accessible to anyone who wishes to pursue it. We understand that the cost of college can be a major barrier for lots of people. LTCC is breaking down those barriers by providing a wide array of programs that can make college low-cost or even free for just about anyone! One of the most comprehensive Promise programs in the entire country can be found at LTCC! Full-time students who are new to college may be eligible for free tuition for up to three years, plus free textbooks, $100/quarter credit in the bookstore, dedicated counseling, priority registration, incentives for two-year degree completion, and a lot more! Available to all California residents and Dreamers, plus Nevada residents and Dreamers living within the Tahoe Basin.
A wealth of free services and opportunities that can make college possible are available to eligible students through this office. Get connected to their Basic Needs Center (provides nutrition, child care, transportation and housing support, plus more), and find out about free mentoring, textbooks, counseling services, free college tours, and cultural trips!
In addition to the above, LTCC also offers a number of financial aid programs that can make college free or low-cost for just about anyone. Take the time to reach out to our friendly Financial Aid staff and learn about what you're eligible for, and how you can earn a degree debt-free.
