LTCC housing at the new residence hall and Aspen Apartments is available full-time students (12 credits or more per term) over the age of 18. To reside in the new residence hall, students must also be California residents who qualify for one of the following financial aid programs: (1) Pell grant; (2) Cal Grant; (3) AB 540/Dream App; (4) Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver. Applicants should complete the Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) application as soon as possible, so that eligibility can be determined prior to final assignment.
The housing license agreement is in effect for the Fall, Winter, and Spring terms of each school year, with an additional summer license available to enrolled students. The full license agreement is linked in the housing application, and you are encouraged to review it carefully. Incoming residents should also read the Residential Living @ LTCC Handbook, which further details policies and procedures designed to promote positive community on campus.

Rates include all utilities: internet, electric, water, trash and snow removal. On-campus parking is free. At the Aspen Apartments, limited off-street parking is available for a small fee. Staff is also available 24/7 for emergencies.

  • Residence hall rooms are furnished with twin xl beds, desks, chairs, chests of drawers, and built-in closets.
  • Aspen apartment bedrooms are furnished with twin xl beds, and the shared living room is furnished with a sofa and loveseat. Apartment residents may bring small items such as a shelf or end table but may not bring large furniture items.
We are sorry but at this time we cannot accommodate minor children in our housing facilities. All residents must be 18 years old and registered as full-time students.
Aspen Apartments are equipped with full shared kitchens. The new residence hall rooms are equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave oven. The residence hall also has a large community kitchen available to all residents. The college is also planning to begin cafeteria service on the main campus, and students living in the new residence hall will be required to purchase a meal plan.
Only service and approved emotional support animals are permitted in college-sponsored housing. Requests for approval of service animals and/or emotional support animals must be submitted in advance to the Office of Student Accessibility Services.
Review the How to Apply section on the student housing main page. Applicants should gain access to the online housing portal approximately 48 hours after they have completed the application to LTCC via CC Apply and have received a Student ID and “single sign on” credentials from the college.

The new residence hall is staffed by a full-time Director of Residential Living, who resides in the building and is available to students during scheduled office hours and in cases of emergency. Each wing in the residence hall is staffed with a Resident Advisor living on site. Resident Advisors are fellow students selected to serve as peer advisors, helping to build community within the residence hall and responding to resident concerns. A resident advisor is on duty each night to respond to residents’ needs. Students interested in applying to be an RA should visit the link on our website!
Access to the residence hall is via card access, and entrance is reserved for current residents only. Guests must contact their host for access, and should be accompanied at all times by their host(s). Closed-circuit security cameras are also located throughout the building and at access points. Access to apartments and bedrooms at Aspen Apartments is provided through individual four-digit PIN codes, which may be selected by each resident.
Yes! Students must submit a security deposit fee of $500 to confirm and secure their reservation in any college-sponsored housing assignment. However, the actual term housing fee as well as meal plan fees may be offset by any financial aid available. Once tuition fees are paid, any other balance due, including housing and/or meal plan fees, will be deducted from financial aid awarded for that particular term. Any balance remaining will be disbursed to the student. If financial aid does not cover the full amount due, then the student is liable for paying the balance due by the end of the first week of each academic term. Students who cannot pay the full amount due may also make payment plan arrangements.
  • Single Room: This unit layout includes one Bedroom with a bathroom shared between two students. These spaces are extremely limited!
  • Double Room: The vast majority of spaces in the new residence hall consist of double-occupancy bedrooms. In these rooms, bathroom facilities are located between two adjacent rooms and shared by a total of four residents.
  • Aspen Apartment Double Room: The Aspen apartments are townhouse-style two-story apartments, with three double-occupancy bedrooms on the second floor and shared living spaces (living room, kitchen, and 1 ½ bathrooms) shared by the six residents of the apartment.
Once you complete a housing application, you will gain access to the roommate search and selection tool on the housing portal. Here, you may complete your own profile, choose which information you wish to share with others, and interact with other applicants in order to choose your own roommate(s). Students assigned to double rooms may also create “suite groups” of up to four students, and those seeking to reside in the Aspen Apartments may create “apartment groups” of up to six residents. If you do not choose your own roommates or suitemates, then the Residential Living office will utilize the profile you created to match you with a roommate.
At this time we are still working to contract with a meal service provider, and anticipate that students who reside in the new residence hall will be required to purchase a limited meal plan, consisting of approximately eight meals per week. The meal plan provides convenient and economical way to ensure that you have access to nutritious meals during the school week, and the costs can be paid directly from your financial aid! Meal plans are also tax free, resulting in further savings on food costs!

The application process is scheduled to begin on February 10, 2025. Once your application is complete, you will be reminded to complete your FAFSA financial aid application for 2025-2026, which will be used to determine if you are eligible for a space in the new residence hall. While we anticipate that final eligibility for financial aid will take place in May 2025, you may very well receive tentative confirmation prior to that time. This initial notification will indicate that a space is being reserved for you. You can confirm your acceptance of this tentative assignment by paying the $500 security deposit.

Once you have completed your application you will also gain access to the Roomeez portal, so you may create your profile and interact with other applicants and look for roommates and suitemates! Once final eligibility is determined, you can be placed with the roommate (or suitemates) of your choice when the first round of specific room assignments is initiated in May 2025.

Applicants may cancel without penalty anytime prior to receiving an official room assignment. If you cancel prior to being assigned, any payments made, including the security deposit, will be refunded. If you cancel after accepting your official room assignment but prior to your move-in date, you are subject to forfeiture of your security deposit. Housing fees are billed to your account by the academic term, and term fees are not refundable once the term begins and you move into your room. However, you may cancel for any upcoming academic terms by giving notice thirty days in advance.
