ISSI Orientation - Sunday, July 28

We want you to be prepared for your first day of classes, so we’re hosting an orientation! Meet your instructors, pick up class materials, and get acquainted with the campus—all before the first day of classes. We’ll be on hand to address any questions you may have and help you prepare for a successful start.

Lecture with Dr. Rosenberg - Tuesday, July 30

Dr. John R. Rosenberg, Professor Emeritus of Spanish Literature at Brigham Young University, will return for a special guest lecture during ISSI. A distinguished scholar, Dr. Rosenberg has taught and written extensively on Spanish literature and art from 1800 to the present. He has led numerous National Endowment for the Humanities seminars, served as a Senior Fellow with the BYU-Public School Partnership, and held leadership roles in advancing the democratic purposes of public education. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with Spain's Officer’s Cross of the Order of Civil Merit in 2011.

Spanish Wine Walk - Wednesday, July 31
Sip, stroll, and savor your way through a captivating wine walk experience. Immerse yourself in the enchanting culture of Spanish and Latin American wine making as you taste some of the regions' most renowned wines. Our knowledgeable guide, Karla will take you through the history and techniques that make Spanish wines so unique while indulging in delicious tapas along the way. Our Spanish wine walk is the perfect way to enjoy the world of wine while exploring the beauty of the college's alpine campus!

Spanish Kids Camp | Monday, July 29 - Friday, August 2

While you're brushing up on your Spanish skills at ISSI, the young ones can be learning and enjoying Tahoe too! LTCC's CONNECT Community Education program has a wide array of fun and enlightening activities for kids ages 6-14. Beginning Spanish speakers can expect to learn the basics in vocabulary and conversation. The more advanced Spanish speaker will be challenged in higher level conversation.
