ISSI Orientation - Sunday, July 28
We want you to be prepared for your first day of classes, so we’re hosting an orientation! Meet your instructors, pick up class materials, and get acquainted with the campus—all before the first day of classes. We’ll be on hand to address any questions you may have and help you prepare for a successful start.
Lecture with Dr. Rosenberg - Tuesday, July 30
Dr. John R. Rosenberg, Professor Emeritus of Spanish Literature at Brigham Young University, will return for a special guest lecture during ISSI. A distinguished scholar, Dr. Rosenberg has taught and written extensively on Spanish literature and art from 1800 to the present. He has led numerous National Endowment for the Humanities seminars, served as a Senior Fellow with the BYU-Public School Partnership, and held leadership roles in advancing the democratic purposes of public education. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with Spain's Officer’s Cross of the Order of Civil Merit in 2011.
Don’t miss this highlight of the week with one of ISSI’s most celebrated speakers!
Spanish Wine Walk - Wednesday, July 31
Spanish Kids Camp | Monday, July 29 - Friday, August 2
While you're brushing up on your Spanish skills at ISSI, the young ones can be learning and enjoying Tahoe too! LTCC's CONNECT Community Education program has a wide array of fun and enlightening activities for kids ages 6-14. Beginning Spanish speakers can expect to learn the basics in vocabulary and conversation. The more advanced Spanish speaker will be challenged in higher level conversation.
Important note for ISSI Participants: The CONNECT Community Education registration site is separate from the for-credit LTCC portal you used to register for your core course. You will need to create a separate account on the CONNECT website to register for the lecture, wine walk, and movie night. To register, visit LTCCconnect.com. Or call (530) 541-4660 x719. |
