Early Childhood Education
Education courses at Lake Tahoe Community College address effective tutoring techniques
including planning the tutoring session, communication skills, and techniques for
working with culturally diverse students and students with disabilities. Students
will also get introduced to the concepts and issues related to teaching in today's
contemporary schools, Kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12).

• Demonstrate a value for seeking academic support by participating in tutoring sessions in order to acheive desired goals.
• Acquire necessary skills to be more successful in their courses.
