Accreditation 2017
Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) underwent a comprehensive review and visit through the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) in Fall 2017. The principles and practices of continuous quality improvement, which form the foundation of regional accreditation, are ongoing activities at the College and are supported through the participatory governance system. However, the focused preparation for the Fall 2017 visit began in December 2015 with an ACCJC workshop on preparing the Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (ISER). A timeline and process was established and presented to the LTCC Board of Trustees at their regular meeting on January 26, 2016.
This process involved the development of a series of drafts by the participatory governance councils and other representative groups. The drafts were widely distributed for review and feedback that would guide the work of the final writing team and evidence team. The final comprehensive report was presented for review and approval by the Institutional Effectiveness Council (IEC) and the Board of Trustees on August 8, 2017.
