THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST by Oscar Wilde
In one of the funniest comedies in the English language, dashing men-about-town John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities – not to mention the disapproval of Gwendolen’s mother, the formidable Lady Bracknell. With witty dialogue, outrageous characters, and intricate twists and turns, Wilde offers a sly send-up of the upper-crust chic, and invites us into a world where artifice is everything, honesty is entirely passé, and truth is "never pure and seldom simple.” This classic is a critique of love, sex and social hypocrisy that remains stingingly pertinent.

THE LARAMIE PROJECT by Moisés Kaufman and Tectonic Theatre Company
THE LARAMIE PROJECT is a docu-drama about the 1998 hate-crime murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student who was brutally beaten by two young men, tied to a fence, and left to die. Writer-director Moisés Kaufman and actors of New York’s Tectonic Theatre Project journeyed to Laramie to interview townspeople about the horrific murder. After 400 hours of interviews, what emerges is an unusual and powerful theatre piece focusing on the citizens of Laramie, how they were affected and ultimately changed by this act of brutality within their community. Mature themes and content – may not be suitable for children under 15
A series of events, including panel and post-show discussions, will be held in conjunction with this production, culminating in a Candlelight Vigil Against Hate following the final Saturday evening performance.

FOOTLOOSE The Musical
Stage Adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie Based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford Music by Tom Snow Lyrics by Dean Pitchford Additional Music by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins and Jim Steinman
One of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results. When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, Ren is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. What he isn't prepared for are the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, determined to exercise the control over the town's youth that he cannot command in his own home. When the reverend's rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren's reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges is of a father longing for the son he lost and of a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. To the rockin' rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score (the soundtrack album reached number one on the Billboard charts and has sold over 15 million copies!) and augmented with dynamic new songs for the stage musical, FOOTLOOSE celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.
"A celebration of youthful independence . . . Genuine artistry and innovation . . .terrific tunes." Variety
